ADT Picks Multi-Com for new FedEx Facility
September, 2007

September 2007 Multi-Com was commissioned by ADT Security to install the 80 camera CCTV monitoring and alarm system for the new FedEx-Ground distribution facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We had a short delivery cycle that was further complicated by the customer's need to move from their old facility to their new one in one day, without any down time. There were also physical challenges to overcome, necessitated by the requirement to precisely place the cameras in the necessary positions on the various conveyers and sorting apparatus to gain the required views mandated by the owners. In many cases we had to engineer unique solutions to overcome vibration issues caused by the many moving belts and sorting arms. The project was completed on time without disruption.
