Multi-Com
Multi-Communications Systems & Services, Inc. is a family owned
minority corporation that has been serving customers in South Eastern
Michigan since 1979. Multi-Com’s initial business has been
designing, deploying and maintaining low voltage systems that integrate
closed circuit television cameras (CCTV), access control, broad-band
cable television (CATV) distribution systems, public address/voice
evacuation, network backbone cabling as well as some automation
control. The company has focused on satisfying its customer base
emphasizing quality, responsiveness and value. Multi-Com networks
support a variety of needs ranging from security, monitoring systems,
sound systems, control systems and data collection. The company is able
to handle all aspects of installation and has significant experience
helping its end user and Prime Contractor customers delivering
effective solutions within budget.
In Q4 of 2007, Multi-Com made the decision to expand its focus and as
such, created a new division, Multi-Com Technologies. This division is
chartered with expanding Multi-Com’s presence in networking
niches using Multi-Com’s proven project planning and management
techniques. This division’s initial focus is on solutions enabled
by the deployment of Wide Area Network Accelerators, a technology that
has crossed the chasm offering adopters many new alternatives for
improving the organization’s information technology
infrastructure that were not previously practical. Multi-Com
Technologies strategy is to combine WAN Acceleration with engineering
services and peripheral products, the same way it originally used low
voltage networks, services and related products to develop and deploy
complete solutions.
Multi-Com has always succeeded because it emphasizes quality and
responsiveness. Quality is best described as “fitness for
purpose” and Multi-Com invests significant time, understanding,
documenting and verifying its understanding of the solution
requirements justifying a customer’s investment with its
prospects before accepting their purchase orders. Responsiveness is
